The first TOT on Conflict
Resolution and Mediation skills took place in Karachi from June 28-30, 2011.
The training workshop was attended by representatives of civil society,
academia, media. grassroots development organizations and representatives of
law enforcement agencies representing various districts of Sindh. The
training was the first workshop for second batch of Peacebuilders Pakistan
network. In the first batch civil society representatives from KP and FATA
were trained through a series of training workshops. The purpose of this
capacity building program is to develop a cadre of mediators and conflict
resolution experts who would further deliver the trainings and will
practically resolve and mediate conflicts within their communities. The
second training for the Sindh batch will be conducted in September, 2011.
